Nike delivered a celebratory Latino Heritage Month collection (aka the "Los Primeros" Pack) in 2017, comprised of the Air Force 1, Air Jordan 1, Air Max 1 and Cortez. Each pair is dynamically designed in collaboration with local street artist from Latin America; one shoe released weekly during the stretch of the holiday, between September 15th and October 15th. Here is the Air Max 1, designed by Wasafu with a focus on migration – an integral part of the Latin culture for centuries (like most other cultures). The look is an offshoot of the OG colorway, with graphics appearing throughout the upper. These styles are supplied by a premium sneaker marketplace. Stocking only the most sought-after footwear, they source and curate some of the most hard to find sneakers from around the world.

One of the world’s great sportswear brands, Nike produces tens of thousands of pairs of sports shoes each year. Conceived in 1962 by Bill Bowerman and Philip Knight, the actual name Nike followed in 1978. The brand’s trademark ‘tick’ or ‘swoosh’ is now instantly recognisable the world over. The label constantly innovates on new designs and reissues its classic ones - in doing so, Nike has developed a cult following.
